What is THREAD™ and what is a linear LED lighting system? They say good things come in small packages. A linear LED lighting system provides the proper amount of illumination in a very small package. Less than ⅞” of an inch wide and less than ¾” high THREAD™ LED can be easily added to residential, commercial or hospitality design.
THREAD™ is an advanced LED linear lighting system by SATCO® |NUVO. With all the LED lighting systems available in the market the clear choice that proves to be the winner time and time again is THREAD™ by SATCO. One reason that THREAD™ is preferred over all the other LED linear lighting systems is the ease of installation. Linear lighting systems are often complex to design and then to install. THREAD™. With a few simple clips and connectors, you can utilize a maximum run length of 65’ from one power supply. THREAD™ is available in a variety of lengths that include; 6”, 10”, 21”, and 30”, to light any under cabinet space, toe kick or cove. Linear illumination is a lighting application that is needed in every imaginable project that includes; homes, restaurants, hospitality, and commercial spaces. The benefits of using LED THREAD™ can be addressed in many ways.
Advanced Color Management of THREAD™LED Lighting that is used in the lighting design of a home or apartment surpasses other similar styles of LED. Because of the quality parameters SATCO imposes on their chipsets.  They also use a “Multi-Rank Mixing” system which is used to shrink the color tolerances of the LED and provide a uniform and consistent color quality range. All lighting applications rely on dependable and steady color replication of LED. Color reliability is critical to the success of any interior design.  The uniformity of lighting color means that a cove or other architectural ceiling feature that is accented by light will have a congruent flow of color and light when added to toe-kick, under-cabinet or other task or fill lighting tin the space.
The kitchen is the center of many homes activities and as the rise in the interest in meal preparation continues, great home chefs agree having a well-lit workspace is a key ingredient of every tasty dish. That same great illumination is appreciated in laundry rooms and workshops or wherever there is the need to fill in the light to remove shadows. As our focus has been on the light quality, the addition of a diffuser will soften any visual glare and smooth out the light distribution. THREAD™ by SATCO | NUVO, includes a diffuser with each THREAD™ they ship. In most cases this is not included and is an add on item by other manufacturers. Value is a key component in every LED THREAD™ product. The IC driver is built in to THREAD™ and requires no external driver for the plug & play model or the direct wire series. Connect to 120 volts AC and go. There is very little phantom heat output from THREAD™ and no UV or IR radiation either. Making applications and use in most situations an easy result. THREAD™ is available in two popular color temperatures. When being used in Hotels, Restaurants and Residential living rooms, the 2700k (kelvin) is warm and cozy, setting the mood for the space. Want to adjust to a more inviting mood, dim down the THREAD™ with an ELV dimmer.

The 3500k (kelvin) THREAD™, while still providing a comfortable color, it has all the lighting kick needed in an office space or a retail environment. Spending some more time on the technical side of things, THREAD™ pushes out 312lmf or 330lmf, lumens per foot. Think of it this way, the ten-inch (10”) LED THREAD™ in 2700k only consumes three (3) watts of power and with the damp location listing, use in a home or professional kitchen is a simple choice.
